“Revealing Faith”

March 7, 2008 I’m in my way back home. I usually ride a jeepney, and it I’m used to be with people whom you don’t know what I mean is that you don’t have any conversation until this day came. A sister was riding a jeepney she gave us papers which have prayers and novenas in it. This sister mentioned that coming to mass is a must and guess what? Not following the 3rd commandment is suffering for 5 yrs. in purgatory. Not only that, holding the host is 7 years in purgatory, not wearing the prescribed dress is 4 yrs. in purgatory, lying is 40 yrs. in purgatory, stealing is 50 yrs. in purgatory.
Shocking right? It doesn’t really sound true but now I realize that being a Catholic is not that easy, that being so, you need to follow some rules--- strict rules. Imagine, I’m use to hold the host and then now I learned that it will be 7 yrs. in purgatory, Wow! For a couple of years I’ve been doing this, Gosh! How long would I stay in there? Well I don’t push you to believe but somehow there are some point stressed by the sister, that bad actions even not seen will still be punished by God.
